Testimonials and Feedback

Dressage rider & horse photographer Caroline White

After extensive (and very expensive) scans etc.. the vets (of which I tried several)  had drawn a blank as to why my horse was lame.

Thank goodness Equiscan was highly recommended to me by one of our British team show jumpers who uses them regularly. After a thorough non-invasive, inexpensive and accurate screening to detect problem areas, diagnosis and treatment was promptly underway and my horse back to work within weeks.

I would strongly suggest a full screen as your first treatment which scans the entire body, teeth, feet etc.

Many Thanks to Equiscan for their service

"Equiscan was extremely useful when showing that one of my dressage saddles was causing discomfort on one of my young horses, so i immediately got the saddle changed and the horse went much better for it."

Sienna Myson Davies, Equisca at Express Eventing Gatcombe

"We have been using Equiscan regularly for the past year for a number of uses. It is fantastic for monitoring the healing of injuries and found it invaluable when Tambourine was recovering from a tendon strike as it allowed us to check the healing process and evaluate improvement. Equiscan has also helped us to detect problem areas and allow us to treat them before they become a serious injury. I use Equiscan regularly for routine checks to make sure I can maintain my horses at their optimum performance level. I would also use Equiscan as part of a pre purchase check as it can highlight problems that ordinary scans and X rays could miss. Sophie and her team run a highly professional service and I can recommend them with total confidence."

Equiscan Client and thier horse Whizz

‘’ My horse Whizz had been intermittently lame for some time, every time I got her back to full fitness ready to event she would go lame again. The vets x-rayed her and found nothing; we tried nerve blocking and steroid injections to find the problem but had no luck. We found out about Equiscan at the Cheshire show and immediately got them out to scan Whizz.

Everyone who owns a horse knows how disheartening is can be when your horse goes lame time and time again. After the work that I have put into Whizz there have been occasions when I felt like giving up all together. Without having Whizz scanned I feel that she would still be constantly in and out of work and eventually we would have just been turned away for a problem that was easily solved but hard to find. I am very grateful to the Equiscan team and the service they provide. Equiscan easily detected the problem and now Whizz is sound, back in work and will be eventing again this year”

Thank you, Abby & Dawn Clare

“I found Equiscan DITI exceptionally useful when trying to establish which part of my horse was in pain. It was cost effective and provides valuable information that can aid in diagnosis and prevention. It saved me having to go down a more invasive screening root that may have been unnecessary. The Veterinary Thermographers at Equiscan are very knowledgeable and helpful; DITI is an invaluable screening tool that aids in a swift diagnosis”

Many Thanks

"Equiscan has been an invaluable tool in identifying problems with the horses at an affordable cost, whereby such horses may have finished their racing careers without fully knowing what the problems were. Working alongside our fantastic Physio Sune du Toit it has helped us identify problems with certain horses which have been treated and sorted out. We will continue to use DITI scanning as part of our training regime".

Many thanks for your excellent service

 Equiscan Horse, Inca

I had a panic a few weeks back now where i went to bring my horse (Inca) in from the field, only to find she couldn't stand on off hind leg. I found a swelling at the back of her hock. It looked like the ligament had come away from the base of the hock. I called the vet out straight away; it took us an hour to bring her in from the field. The vet injected her with large amount of antibiotics just in case of any infection in the joint, then said she needed to go in to their hospital for scans and xrays in case of any fractures or detached ligaments.
