Equiscan Client

I had a panic a few weeks back now where i went to bring my horse (Inca) in from the field, only to find she couldn't stand on off hind leg. I found a swelling at the back of her hock. It looked like the ligament had come away from the base of the hock. I called the vet out straight away; it took us an hour to bring her in from the field. The vet injected her with large amount of antibiotics just in case of any infection in the joint, then said she needed to go in to their hospital for scans and xrays in case of any fractures or detached ligaments.
She was looking at 6mths min box rest. Not good news. My horse hates being in when all the others are out .She charges around in her stable. Must add at this point she had been kicked in her hock 4 weeks before hand. It gave her a small cut and bruising but she was ok after a few days of rest. Anyway I couldn't get her into the hospital until the next day, so I remembered a friend telling me about her friend starting to do thermography on horses and was recommended Equiscan.
Equiscan saved me a small fortune and scan showed a bad strain in the suspensory tendon, which needed stable rest till better, in this case after 2nd scan 3 weeks then she could go in the field with her friends! “happy horse". I can’t thank or recommend Equiscan enough, their new screening service has helped so many horses and their vets & owners.
