Ned and Ann joined the Equiscan team after seeing first hand the benefits of using DITI to monitor and maintain the quality of their horses at their Stud in Southern Ireland. Ned and Ann formulated Oakhill Stud in 2005 to specialize in the breeding of thoroughbred horses for flat racing. To date their combined knowledge has produced winners from a small band of top quality brood mares and some of thier progeny are in training with, Tim Easterby, Robin Bastiman, William Knight, Hugo Palmer & William Haggas.
Ann Kearney (NCMH, ANCEBM, BHSIV) had worked extensively with Eventers, Hunters, and Showjumpers for twenty three years until finding her niche within the Thoroughbred industry thirteen years ago. In 2005 Ann met Ned Kearney when he was based in England at Helshaw Grange Stud. Together Ned and Anne started up Oakhill Stud and their own breeding operation whilst Ned continued to develop Helshaw Grange as a Top Class Training Facility.
In 2011 Ned and Ann together decided to widen their remit and extend their knowledge and skills to encompass Equiscan DITI,
whilst continuing with their breeding programme. Oakhill stud also acknowledges the help, support, encouragement and advice from close associates Trickledown Stud and will continue to develop and produce quality race horses.
The team has worked with horses for over 20 years, Ann earning recognised qualifications to a high level including an advanced national certificate in equine business management. Having together gained vast experience within most equestrian disciplines, specialising in rehabilitation, nutrition, preventative care and maintaining equine health became their main interest.
Ned and Ann have now run the Equiscan branch in Southern Ireland and provide veterinary DITI to equine professionals, trainers and horse owners.
