Laminitic Pony

Nancy was a beautiful Welsh section C pony that had lots of talent before suffering with a bout of laminitis in May 2009. Pony has been intermittently lame in front feet  and X-rays showed slight movement to the left pedal bone but she was expected to make a full recovery. Farrier took off her normal shoes and pony became crippled so heart bars went on and she slowly started to improve.
After being sent for rehabilitation for six weeks in September 2010 she came back sound but once started light work and small jumps were too much and she became lame.

Owner, Vicky was very confused as to what to do next. She wanted to make sure there were no underlying issues that have not been recognised and vet would like to confirm laminitis.

Investigation so far: X-rays
